Im Rahmen des Workshopprogrammes von tanzimpulse Salzburg finden in Kooperation mit der ARGEkultur auch 2019 wieder die SALZBURGER PERFORMANCE TAGE statt. Zagreb Dance Company: STAGING A PLAY: TARTUFFE by Matija Ferlin
Matija Ferlin hat sich für Tartuffe – eine der klassischen Komödien von Molière – entschieden und sie vom Text ins Choreografische übersetzt. Er ersetzte den verbalen Austausch durch ein körperliches Vokabular und verwendete den dramatischen Text als komplexe choreografische Partitur. Die Charaktere sind somit nicht mehr ihre ‚Wörter und Sprache‘, sondern werden zu ihren ‚Körpern und Bewegungen‘.
Matija Ferlin has chosen Tartuffe, one of Molière‘s ‚classical‘ comedies, and translated it from textual into choreographic realm. He replaced verbal exchanges with a physical vocabulary, and used the dramatic text as a complex choreographic score. The characters have thus ceased to be their ‚words and language‘, and become their ‚bodies and movements‘.

The performance was nominated five times for the recent ‚Croatian Association of Dramatic Artists’ awards; for the best dance performance, best costumes, two nominations for best male dancers and for best chorographer, of which was awarded by Best Choreographer to Matija Ferlin and Best male dancer to Darko Japelj.

Dieses Duett repräsentiert eine Reise durch Körpersprache und Gesten des Alltags. So alltäglich wie ein kreativer Künstler sein kann, oder wie man überhaupt alltäglich sein kann,wenn man täglich vergisst, was das Tägliche ist. Ein Dialog der Aktionen in gesprochene Wörter transformiert. Dunya und Akira möchten sich, ebenso wie das Publikum, erreichen.
This duet represents daily life. As daily as a creative artist can be or how to be daily when you forget the day of today. A trip through body language and gestures. Transforming dialogues between actions and spoken words. We want to reach out to ourselves as much as to the audience.

Nic Lloyd/Julia Schwarzbach: WE ARE NOT DONE YET
Wir sind noch nicht fertig. Wir haben immer noch ein Stück vor uns. Nicht so viel wie schon vergangen ist, es liegt weniger vor uns, als schon war. Aber es ist noch nicht vorbei. Wir sind noch nicht fertig. Ein kurzer Monolog zu unserem bevorstehenden Aussterben: als Individuen, als Kultur und als Spezies – mit nahtlosem Übergang in die Eröffnungsparty.
We’re not done yet. We’ve still got a bit to go. Not as much as has already gone.
There’s less to go than there has been. But it’s not over yet. We’re not finished yet.
A short monologue addressing our impending extinction: as individuals, as a culture and as a species – which will then transition seamlessly into the party.
