Mini English Drama Festival: English Drama Group Salzburg

The English Drama Group Salzburg is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year with a special event: a Mini English Drama Festival. From 6th till 9th of June, they are going to perform "Dearly Departed" by David Bottrell & Jessie Jones, a black comedy about an American Southern States family trying to deal with the recent death of the family patriarch.

About the English Drama Group Salzburg

The EDGS is a project whose aim is to produce quality amateur theater productions in English in Salzburg. It offers participants (young and old, native and non-native speakers) a chance to work together on stage and learn more about drama, theater and the English language. The actors and actresses are not professionals and come from all walks of life. The EDGS is informal and friendly; age, gender or any other form of self definition is completely irrelevant as all we are looking for are persons with excellent English, lots of enthusiasm and a very high level of commitment and reliabilty.

The group is led by Michael Darmanin who studied at the Manoel Theater Academy of Dramatic Art (MTADA) as well as the University of Malta and the University of Salzburg.
